Latest Update
The last few days we have had constant drifting snow with poor visibility and this looks set to continue into next week. Warmer temperatures at lower levels this morning have helped to reduce the drifting and we have made progress in clearing the roads. This may change again overnight as temperatures lower and snow again drifts to low levels, we will update in the morning. Across the mountain the snow depths and cover are significant and today we have pushed a lot of snow from mid mountain into the lower slopes to build depth and width. The middle of the Cas has been stripped out with an icy layer but our piste machines are currently moving snow into this area to improve it. All other areas at mid mountain level have really good snow cover, with fresh snow falling all day, and impressive drifted accumulations..The forecast tomorrow is Easterly winds 40 to 55mph on the summits, snow falling all day, with brighter spells in the afternoon. Winds easing slightly to 40 mph later, with a temperature of -2C at the Base Station. We will update on the conditions for uplift in the morning with tickets available at the Base Station. We kindly ask that no one parks in any mountain car parks overnight, especially during snow storms as this can impact our snow clearing operations. There is overnight parking available in Glenmore.
